  4. Following questions, there is an opportunity for statements.
  5. These can be either Business Statements - which indicate 
  6. any time limitations on the day's debates - or Ministerial
  7. Statements. 
  8.  
  9. Ministerial Statements are usually made in the Commons 
  10. first, and then repeated as soon as possible on the same 
  11. day in the Lords, but only if considered sufficiently important. 
  12. Brief comments and questions from the Opposition benches, 
  13. and from backbenchers, are allowed.
